A day of leaning and witness

What a spirit filled day, had the opportunity to go and listen to attorney David Gibbs speak.  He was teaching on the precepts of fiscal liability through the lens of Risk Management.  Wow there is many areas of ministry that churches assume liability that they were not aware of.  Also listened to a preacher teach on pastors being secure in their leadership.  This truly is an area that many struggle with and thus their ministry is hindered.  A pastor should follow these points:
Do not blame others- take charge
Be adaptable
Deal with the issues in the here and now
Be self-aware –of your own weaknesses
Have a vision filled with passion
Then had some time to discuss many topics with my pastor on the ride back to the church house.  We arrived just in time for door-to-door visitation.  I had two interesting witnessing opportunities: One was a group of children that seemed to keep growing as I shared the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The small children seemed to be encouraged by the gospel message.  I also had brief conversation with, what I perceived to their dad about “end-times”.  Then a little latter I knocked on a man’s door named ….. Now at first this man said he was sacramentailst in his views and tried to give back the John and Romans.  I told him that he should read it for himself, which got him to start thinking.  I then stated that we are all human beings, but one day the human aspect will pass way; but we will still be a being destined to one of two places.  What seemed to start out as a poor witness, instead turned out as an excellent opportunity to share the complete gospel message and leave him with it’s a “whosever” and it is up to him.
